Anything and everything good you ever see about me is Jesus and His grace. Anything outside of that, is my disobedience, and His redemption working itself out.

That said, I did not come from a well to do family. I am 22 years old. I am a college drop out. I do not have a steady “job.” I make much less beyond minimum wage. I have no sort of “planning” for the future, outside of listening for my Father, and moving when He calls. I play music for a living, in a band that I did not build. Not to mention I am not the best musician out there, by far. This, is foolishness in the eyes of the world (even some church folks).

And despite that (rather BECAUSE of that), God chose me, (and if He had plans for me, He definitely has plans for you. Just saying.) He has taken me around the world, playing music that I love, to sing and speak hope, truth, and encouragement into the people we meet everywhere. He has used me to reach people in some of the darkest places. To love them, and to pray for them, to see so many people healed physically, and spiritually. I’ve seen Him change lives through me, despite the junk I myself come from. He makes this work, and He is the reason it continues to work. By His grace, and His design, I am able to be used more than what this life, my circumstance, and society tell me I’m allowed to be. Some punk kid from downriver, MI, getting to live out his dreams for the Gospel, not because I earned it, but because my Father said so, hand picked. I am weak, He is strong. His Spirit in me.

This is what God spoke to me tonight through these verses. You have infinite potential for the Kingdom. The only requirement is to be willing. Answer when I call, and move your feet, knowing I will make your every next step find solid ground.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31.

26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”

Neither your circumstance, nor season in life, nor past sins/weaknesses can hold you back anymore. He chose you.

is that He knows

what you are about to tell Him

and yet

He still listens.

…at My word, would you bring your Isaac?

Seriously can’t begin to explain how much the Holy Spirit wanted me to hear this. Literally haven’t checked Tumblr in months, and here I am. #floored. #Jesus.
